Drotawise MF tablets carry Drotaverine 80 mg and Mefenamic Acid 250 mg for pain and spasm relief. Main uses: relief of mild to moderate pain; treatment of primary dysmenorrhea (period pain with cramps); relief of cramps caused by spasm of smooth muscle in the stomach and intestines; relief of cramps caused by spasm of the bile ducts and urinary tract.

Common side effects of Drotawise MF Tablet include nausea; vomiting; abdominal pain; indigestion or heartburn; diarrhoea or constipation; flatulence. Get medical help at once if you notice bleeding, ulceration or perforation of the stomach or intestines; heart attack or stroke; serious allergic reactions or serious skin reactions.

Each Drotawise MF tablet contains Drotaverine 80 mg + Mefenamic Acid 250 mg. The right dose and how long to take it depend on the condition, age and other medicines, so use Drotawise MF Tablet only as your doctor advises.

Mefenamic Acid 250 mg in the tablet lowers prostaglandin levels in the affected tissues and so eases pain and inflammation. Drotaverine 80 mg is an antispasmodic that calms smooth muscle spasm, which helps cramps to settle.

Must not be used by people with known allergy (hypersensitivity) to mefenamic acid, drotaverine or any ingredient of the tablet. Must not be used by people who have had asthma, urticaria or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs. Must not be used in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. Must not be used in the third trimester of pregnancy. Check with a doctor first if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, a stomach or intestinal ulcer, asthma, bleeding problems, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding (outside the third trimester).
