About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Otolam Ear Drop is an ear drop from Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division, and it is packed as 5ml. The combination contains Gentamicin 0.3%w/v, Beclomethasone 0.025%w/v, Clotrimazole 1%w/v and Lignocaine 2%w/v. Its class is an antibiotic, antifungal, steroid and local anaesthetic ear drop used in the ear canal.

How it works

In this formula, Gentamicin fights susceptible bacteria in the ear. Beclomethasone is a corticosteroid that eases redness, swelling and itching. Clotrimazole works against fungi that grow in the ear canal. Lignocaine is a local anaesthetic that numbs the surface and brings relief from the local pain of the infection.

Used for

Otolam Ear Drop is meant for ear canal infection with bacterial and fungal involvement, where swelling, discharge and pain are present. Use must be avoided when the eardrum is perforated or ear tubes are fitted, unless an ENT specialist specifically directs it, because gentamicin can damage the inner ear if it reaches the middle ear.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
