About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Otonor Ear Drops is a ear drop preparation from Vibcare Pharma's Medanor division, packed as 5ml. Every millilitre provides Gentamicin 0.3%w/v, Beclomethasone 0.025%w/v, Clotrimazole 1%w/v and Lignocaine 2%w/v. The product falls in the class of antibiotic, antifungal, steroid and local anaesthetic ear drops.

How it works

The four parts of the drops work together in the ear canal. Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that halts bacterial growth by interfering with protein synthesis. Clotrimazole is an antifungal that acts on fungal growth in the ear canal. Beclomethasone is a steroid that brings down redness, swelling and itching, while Lignocaine is a local anaesthetic that numbs the sore area and relieves pain.

Used for

Otonor Ear Drops is used when an ear canal infection has bacterial and fungal causes with inflammation, itching, discharge and pain. These drops must be avoided in case of a perforated eardrum or ear tubes, unless an ENT specialist specifically directs it, since gentamicin can damage the inner ear if it reaches the middle ear.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
