About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Otovib Ear Drop is an ear drop made by Vibcare Pharma. Each millilitre carries Gentamicin 0.3%w/v, Beclomethasone 0.025%w/v, Clotrimazole 1%w/v and Lignocaine 2%w/v. It belongs to the class of antibiotic, antifungal, steroid and local anaesthetic ear drops. It is packed as 5ml and comes from Vibcare Pharma's Ventila division.

How it works

Gentamicin is an antibiotic that blocks bacterial protein making so the bacteria cannot grow. Beclomethasone is a steroid that lowers redness, swelling and itching in the ear canal. Clotrimazole is an antifungal that acts on fungi of the ear canal. Lignocaine is a local anaesthetic that numbs the area and relieves the pain felt in the ear.

Used for

Otovib Ear Drop is used for ear canal infections caused by bacteria and fungi where there is inflammation, itching, discharge and pain. These drops must be avoided if the eardrum is perforated or ear tubes are in place, unless an ENT specialist specifically directs it, since gentamicin can damage the inner ear if it reaches the middle ear.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
