About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Vibotrax 10 is a tablet from Vibcare Pharma's Genvimax division. Each tablet contains Methotrexate 10 mg as its single ingredient. It falls in the class of dihydrofolate reductase inhibitors. The product is packed as 10x10 (Blister).

How it works

Methotrexate in Vibotrax 10 blocks an enzyme called dihydrofolate reductase. Cells need the products of this enzyme to build DNA, so when it is blocked, rapidly dividing cells cannot copy themselves easily and grow more slowly. In rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis, the way it helps is not known.

Used for

Vibotrax 10 is used in acute lymphoblastic leukemia as part of a combination maintenance regimen in adults and children, in mycosis fungoides, in relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and for rheumatoid arthritis, polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis and severe psoriasis. The dosing schedule depends on the condition being treated; accidental once-daily administration has resulted in death, so take it only on the schedule prescribed.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
