About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

From Vibcare Pharma's Auspin division comes Methojem Softgel, a softgel capsule in the Neuro & Neuropathy class. Each capsule contains Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg, Alpha Lipoic Acid 100 mg, Pyridoxine HCl 3 mg and Folic Acid 1.5 mg, and it is packed as 10x1x10 (Blister).

How it works

Inside the capsule, the four ingredients play different parts. Pyridoxine HCl, that is vitamin B6, helps the nerves work normally and helps the body make nerve signals. Folic acid, or vitamin B9, takes part in forming blood cells and in keeping the nervous system in order. Methylcobalamin is the active form of vitamin B12 and supports nerve fibres and blood cell formation. Alpha lipoic acid acts as an antioxidant and helps protect nerve cells from free radical damage.

Used for

Doctors prescribe this capsule for supportive care in peripheral neuropathy, including neuropathy in diabetes, and to meet a shortage of vitamin B12, B6 or folic acid.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.

Uses

Precautions

Do not use

  • Must not be used by anyone who is allergic to methylcobalamin, cobalt, alpha lipoic acid, pyridoxine, folic acid or any other ingredient of the capsule
  • Must not be used as the only treatment for pernicious anaemia or other anaemias caused by vitamin B12 shortage, because folic acid can hide its signs while the nerve damage goes on getting worse

Ask a doctor first

  • Check with a doctor first if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Check with a doctor first if you have diabetes, as alpha lipoic acid can lower blood sugar and insulin or diabetes tablets may need adjustment
