About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

A softgel capsule from Vibcare Pharma's Medanor division, Nurinor Softgel belongs to the Neuro & Neuropathy class. Each capsule carries Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg, Alpha Lipoic Acid 100 mg, Pyridoxine HCl 3 mg and Folic Acid 1.5 mg. The pack size is 10x1x10 (Blister).

How it works

Four ingredients share the work in the capsule. Alpha lipoic acid is an antioxidant and helps protect nerve cells from free radical damage. Methylcobalamin is the active form of vitamin B12 and supports nerve fibres and the formation of healthy blood cells. Folic acid, or vitamin B9, helps form blood cells and keeps the nervous system working normally. Pyridoxine HCl is vitamin B6, which the body needs for normal nerve function and for making nerve signals.

Used for

This capsule is prescribed for supportive care in peripheral neuropathy, including neuropathy that comes with diabetes, and to make up a shortage of vitamin B12, B6 or folic acid.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.

Uses

  • Nutritional supplementation when vitamin B12 levels are low
  • Nutritional supplementation when vitamin B6 or folic acid levels are low
  • Supports normal nerve function in people whose diet does not supply enough B vitamins

  • Supports blood cell formation where folate intake is poor

Precautions

Do not use

  • Must not be used by anyone who is allergic to methylcobalamin, cobalt, alpha lipoic acid, pyridoxine, folic acid or any other ingredient of the capsule
  • Must not be used as the only treatment for pernicious anaemia or other anaemias caused by vitamin B12 shortage, because folic acid can hide its signs while the nerve damage goes on getting worse

Ask a doctor first

  • Check with a doctor first if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Check with a doctor first if you have diabetes, as alpha lipoic acid can lower blood sugar and insulin or diabetes tablets may need adjustment
