Montijem FX tablets come from Vibcare Pharma's Auspin division. Each tablet contains Montelukast Sodium 10mg and Fexofenadine 120mg, and the product is classed as an anti-allergic and anti-histamine medicine. It is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu).
In this tablet, Montelukast Sodium blocks leukotrienes, the chemicals that lead to swelling and tightening of the airways. Fexofenadine, on the other hand, blocks histamine and brings relief from sneezing, a runny or itchy nose and watery eyes. The two ingredients thus act on separate parts of the allergic response.
The tablets are used for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma in adults and adolescents 15 years and older, for prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, and for relief of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis such as sneezing and watery eyes.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
