Read our full guide: Montelukast and levocetirizine: uses, dose, side effects and brands
Montivib FX is a tablet formulation from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. Each tablet combines Montelukast Sodium 10mg with Fexofenadine 120mg. It belongs to the anti-allergic and anti-histamine group of medicines. The tablets are packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu).
Montelukast Sodium works by blocking leukotrienes in the airways, which helps to reduce airway swelling, mucus and tightening. Fexofenadine is an antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, the chemical behind sneezing, a runny or itchy nose and watery eyes. The two ingredients therefore act on different parts of the allergic response.
Montivib FX is used for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma in adults and adolescents 15 years and older, for prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, and for relief of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis symptoms such as sneezing and watery eyes.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
