Thyrovib 100 tablets supply Thyroxine 100 mcg for thyroid hormone replacement in an underactive thyroid. Main uses: replacement of thyroid hormone in an underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism); low thyroid hormone present from birth (congenital hypothyroidism); thyroid hormone deficiency caused by disease of the pituitary gland or the hypothalamus; thyroid hormone replacement after surgical removal of the thyroid gland; helping to stop an enlarged thyroid gland (goitre) from coming back.

Common side effects of Thyrovib 100 Tablet include pounding or rapid heartbeat; headache; nervousness, tremor or restlessness; sweating and sensitivity to heat; loose motions (diarrhoea) or stomach cramps; weight loss or weight gain. Get medical help at once if you notice chest pain or pressure, or irregular heartbeat; severe allergic reaction with rash, swelling of the face or lips, or breathlessness; weak bones (low bone density) with long-term use at higher-than-needed doses.

By making up for the hormone the gland is not producing, the tablet restores normal thyroid hormone levels and supports normal growth, development and day-to-day body function.

Must not be used in untreated thyrotoxicosis (too much thyroid hormone in the body) or when the adrenal gland is not working and has not been treated first.
