ATORVASTATIN 20mg. IP

A lipid-lowering agent that reduces the amount of cholesterol found in the blood. The most potent statin that significantly reduces total cholesterol, triglyceride, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in hypercholesterolemia patients. (Chumpol Piamsomboon 1, 2002) Effectively increases high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol in patients with a wide variety of dyslipidaemias. (H S Malhotra, 2001) Displays a rapid onset of action; approximately 90% of the low-density lipoprotein cholesterol reduction. (James W. Nawrocki, 1995) A more appropriate dose of choice than atorvastatin 10 mg in patients with a high risk for cardiovascular disease.
