A combination of two bronchodilators for the treatment of obstructive airway diseases, both asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Provides ease in breathing from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Produces bronchodilation by inhibition of cholinergic receptors on bronchial smooth muscle. (K L Massey, 1985) Makes breathing easier by relaxing the muscles in the lungs and widening the airways. Provides a more rapid onset of action, greater airway response, and reduces the risk of systemic side effects than oral administration. (Federico Lavorini, 2006)\ Offers greater bronchodilation than racemic albuterol and improves clinical outcomes in patients with asthma and other obstructive airway diseases.
