Belongs to the therapeutic class of antacid and anti-reflux that helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion, heartburn. Exerts a rapid and potent inhibitory effect on gastric acid secretion. A faster onset of action and rapid inhibition of gastric acid secretion as compared to omeprazole, lansoprazole, and pantoprazole. (P.
