About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Vormib 400 is a tablet made by Vibcare Pharma. Each tablet contains Albendazole 400 mg. It belongs to the anthelmintic class of medicines, which are used against parasitic worms. Vormib 400 is packed as 20x2x1 (Blister) and comes from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division.

How it works

Albendazole in Vormib 400 stops the worm from absorbing sugar and other nutrients it needs to live. Without this nourishment, the parasite loses energy and dies. As the only active ingredient in the tablet, Albendazole 400 mg carries out the whole action against the worm.

Used for

Vormib 400 is used for active parasitic cysts in the brain caused by larval forms of the pork tapeworm, for hydatid cyst disease of the liver, lung and peritoneum caused by the dog tapeworm larva, and for intestinal worm infestations such as roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and pinworm. Blood counts are monitored at the start of each 28-day cycle and every 2 weeks during treatment, and liver enzymes before each cycle. The eyes must be examined for retinal lesions before treatment for brain cysts; fits or nerve symptoms may appear after treatment starts and may need steroid and anticonvulsant therapy, and should be reported at once.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
