Vormijem 400 is an Albendazole 400 mg tablet for treating intestinal worm infestations and parasitic cyst disease of the brain and other organs. Main uses: treatment of active parasitic cyst lesions in the brain caused by larval forms of the pork tapeworm (neurocysticercosis); treatment of hydatid cyst disease of the liver, lung and peritoneum caused by the larval form of the dog tapeworm; treatment of intestinal worm infestations such as roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and pinworm.

Common side effects of Vormijem 400 Tablet include abdominal pain; nausea; vomiting; headache; dizziness or spinning sensation (vertigo); fever. Get medical help at once if you notice bone marrow suppression (fall in blood cell counts), which has been reported as fatal; blood counts must be monitored at the start of each 28-day treatment cycle and every 2 weeks while on therapy; rise in liver enzymes or liver injury; liver enzymes must be monitored before the start of each treatment cycle; fits (seizures), raised pressure inside the skull or other nerve symptoms may appear after treatment of brain cysts is started and may need appropriate steroid and anticonvulsant therapy.

Each Vormijem 400 tablet contains Albendazole 400 mg. The right dose and how long to take it depend on the condition, age and other medicines, so use Vormijem 400 Tablet only as your doctor advises.
