Description

Cefvib WFR Dry Syrup is a dry syrup for reconstitution with water, from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. It contains Cefixime at a strength of 50 mg when reconstituted with water, and belongs to the cephalosporin class of antibiotic and anti-infective (antibacterial) medicines. The product is packed as 30ml.

How it works

The single active ingredient, Cefixime, is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by interfering with the cell wall that bacteria need to hold their shape and grow. When the wall cannot be built properly, the bacteria become weak and die, and the infection is brought under control. Because it acts on bacteria only, it is used for infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria.

Used for

This syrup is used for bacterial infections such as middle ear infection, sore throat and tonsillitis, acute flare-ups of long-term bronchitis, and uncomplicated urinary tract infections.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
