Description

From Vibcare Pharma's Prima division comes Vibospas, a tablet packed as 10x10 (Blister). Each tablet contains Dicyclomine Hcl 10mg and Mefenamic Acid 250mg. This medicine belongs to the antispasmodic and pain-relieving class.

How it works

Dicyclomine Hcl relaxes the smooth muscle of the gastrointestinal tract and brings relief from spasm, working through both an anticholinergic action and a direct effect on the muscle. Mefenamic Acid is a pain and inflammation reducer that works by lowering prostaglandin formation in the tissues, which calms pain signals.

Used for

Vibospas tablets are prescribed for abdominal cramp and pain linked to gut spasm, functional bowel or irritable bowel syndrome, mild to moderate pain in patients aged 14 years and older for a short course, and primary dysmenorrhoea. The Mefenamic Acid in this tablet carries a risk of serious cardiovascular events like heart attack or stroke and of bleeding, ulceration or perforation of the stomach or intestine, events that can be fatal.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
