ACRIMOL SPASDROTAVERINE 80mg. IP + ACECLOFENAC 100mg. IP

Acrimol Spas tablets combine drotaverine and aceclofenac to ease spasm-related pain and inflammation. Main uses: abdominal pain and cramps caused by spasm of the gut; menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhoea) with spasm; pain from spasm of the urinary tract, such as renal colic; pain from spasm of the biliary tract; musculoskeletal pain with spasm.

Common side effects of Acrimol Spas Tablet include stomach pain or discomfort; nausea or vomiting; indigestion or heartburn; diarrhoea or constipation; dizziness or drowsiness; headache. Get medical help at once if you notice stomach ulcer or bleeding, which may show as black stools or vomiting of blood; severe allergic reaction with swelling of the face or breathing difficulty; liver or kidney problems.

Drotaverine in the tablet works by relaxing smooth muscle, so the spasm that causes crampy pain is eased. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine that reduces pain and inflammation by blocking the body's pain and swelling signals. Together they act on both the spasm and the pain and swelling around it.

Must not be used by patients allergic to aceclofenac, drotaverine, aspirin or other NSAIDs, or by patients with a history of asthma, urticaria or allergic reactions after taking pain-relieving medicines. Must not be used by patients with active stomach or duodenal ulcer or bleeding. Must not be used by patients with severe kidney impairment or severe liver impairment. Must not be used by patients with established heart disease such as ischemic heart disease, peripheral arterial disease, cerebrovascular disease or heart failure. Must not be used in the third trimester of pregnancy; use in earlier pregnancy should be avoided unless clearly necessary and advised by a doctor. Check with a doctor first if you have kidney, liver or heart disease, a bleeding disorder or are taking blood thinners.
