Apojem Spas tablets ease crampy pain and inflammation with drotaverine and aceclofenac. Main uses: abdominal pain and cramps caused by spasm of the gut; menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhoea) with spasm; pain from spasm of the urinary tract, such as renal colic; pain from spasm of the biliary tract; musculoskeletal pain with spasm.

Common side effects of Apojem Spas Tablet include stomach pain or discomfort; nausea or vomiting; indigestion or heartburn; diarrhoea or constipation; dizziness or drowsiness; headache. Get medical help at once if you notice stomach ulcer or bleeding, which may show as black stools or vomiting of blood; severe allergic reaction with swelling of the face or breathing difficulty; liver or kidney problems.

In these tablets, drotaverine helps smooth muscle relax and settle the spasm that leads to crampy pain. Aceclofenac works as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine, reducing pain and inflammation by blocking the signals the body produces for pain and swelling. Used together, the two ingredients cover both the spasm and the pain.

Must not be used by patients allergic to aceclofenac, drotaverine, aspirin or other NSAIDs, or by patients with a history of asthma, urticaria or allergic reactions after taking pain-relieving medicines. Must not be used by patients with active stomach or duodenal ulcer or bleeding. Must not be used by patients with severe kidney impairment or severe liver impairment. Must not be used by patients with established heart disease such as ischemic heart disease, peripheral arterial disease, cerebrovascular disease or heart failure. Must not be used in the third trimester of pregnancy; use in earlier pregnancy should be avoided unless clearly necessary and advised by a doctor.
