Montivib FX Suspension is a liquid medicine for oral use from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. It contains Fexofenadine 30 mg and Montelukast 4 mg as its active ingredients. Belonging to the anti-allergic and anti-histamine class, it is packed as 60ml.
Fexofenadine blocks histamine at its receptors, which settles itching and reduces the wheals of hives. Montelukast blocks cysteinyl leukotrienes, substances that swell the nose and airways and tighten airway muscles, so nasal and airway allergy symptoms are eased.
The suspension relieves symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, runny nose and itchy watery eyes, reduces itching due to hives, and is used for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma. Warning: montelukast may cause serious neuropsychiatric events, including agitation, aggression, depression, sleep disturbances and suicidal thoughts or behaviour; tell a doctor at once if these occur.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
