Tazinor 4.5GM Injection, a Vibcare Pharma antibacterial used for abdominal, pneumonia, skin and pelvic infections caused by bacteria. Main uses: intra-abdominal infections such as complicated appendicitis and peritonitis in adults and children 2 months of age and older; nosocomial (hospital-acquired) pneumonia in adults and children 2 months of age and older; skin and skin structure infections in adults; female pelvic infections in adults; community-acquired pneumonia in adults.

Common side effects of Tazinor 4.5GM Injection include diarrhoea; constipation; nausea; headache; trouble sleeping (insomnia); rash and itching. Get medical help at once if you notice severe allergic reactions including anaphylaxis (breathing difficulty, swelling, fall in blood pressure); the injection must be stopped if a reaction occurs; severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis; the injection must be stopped if a rash appears and gets worse; blood problems such as bleeding, low white cell count or neutropenia during prolonged therapy (blood tests are monitored), hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (the injection must be stopped immediately if suspected) and rhabdomyolysis or muscle breakdown (the injection must be stopped and treatment started).

Tazinor 4.5GM Injection contains Piperacillin 4 g + Tazobactam 0.5 g. Tazinor 4.5GM Injection is given by a doctor or nurse, who decides the dose and how often it is given.

Piperacillin kills susceptible bacteria by interfering with cell wall synthesis and septum formation. Tazobactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor; it stops certain bacterial enzymes from destroying Piperacillin and so helps the antibacterial part remain active against organisms that produce these enzymes.

Must not be used by patients with a history of allergic reactions to any penicillin, cephalosporin or beta-lactamase inhibitor.
