About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Made by Vibcare Pharma and marketed under the Evermed division, Tazolam 4.5GM Injection is an antibacterial injection. Its active ingredients are Piperacillin 4 gm and Tazobactam 0.5 gm. The medicine falls in the antibiotic and anti-infective (antibacterial) class and comes packed as 1's.
The way it works has two parts. Piperacillin prevents bacteria from building their cell wall, which leads to the death of susceptible bacteria. Tazobactam, though it has almost no antibacterial activity on its own, shuts down beta-lactamase enzymes produced by some bacteria, protecting Piperacillin from being broken down by them.
The injection is given for intra-abdominal infections, nosocomial pneumonia, skin and skin structure infections, female pelvic infections and community-acquired pneumonia in adults.
Given only by a doctor or nurse.
