About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Pixivib DT is a tablet with Piroxicam 20 mg as its active ingredient, belonging to the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) class used for pain and inflammation in arthritis. It is packed as 10x10 (Blister) and comes from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division.
Piroxicam blocks cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) and lowers prostaglandin production in peripheral tissues. Prostaglandins carry pain signals, drive inflammation and raise body temperature, so less of them reduces pain, swelling and stiffness at the affected joints.
Used for relief of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Piroxicam raises the risk of serious cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke and of serious stomach and intestinal problems including bleeding, ulceration and perforation.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
