About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

From Vibcare Pharma's Medanor division comes Telmilux 40, a tablet formulation of Telmisartan 40 mg. It falls in the angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) class of cardiovascular medicines. Each pack of the product is 10x15 (Alu Alu).

How it works

Telmisartan in the tablet blocks the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor in blood vessel walls and the adrenal gland. This removes the tightening and aldosterone-releasing effect of angiotensin II, so blood vessels widen and blood pressure falls.

Used for

Telmilux 40 is used to treat high blood pressure, and lowering blood pressure also lowers the risk of stroke and heart attack linked to it.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
