About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Telmivib 40 is a tablet from Vibcare Pharma, with Telmisartan 40 mg in every tablet. Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), the class of medicines used to control raised blood pressure. The pack is 10x15 (Alu Alu) and the product is supplied by Vibcare Pharma.

How it works

This medicine works by blocking the AT1 receptor that angiotensin II normally acts on. Because angiotensin II can no longer tighten blood vessels or signal the release of aldosterone, the vessels relax and blood pressure comes down. Its effect is independent of the pathways that make angiotensin II.

Used for

Doctors prescribe it for hypertension, to lower blood pressure, and lower blood pressure also lowers the chance of stroke and heart attack.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
