About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Everfos XT is an oral tablet from Vibcare Pharma. Each tablet contains Ferrous Ascorbate 100 mg and Folic Acid 1.5 mg. It belongs to the haematinic and anti-anaemic class of medicines. The product is packed as 3x10 (Alu Alu) and comes from Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division.

How it works

Ferrous Ascorbate is an iron salt. Iron is the mineral the body uses to make haemoglobin, the part of red blood cells that carries oxygen, and the ascorbate part helps the intestine absorb the iron. Folic Acid is a B-group vitamin that supports the making of red blood cells and normal cell division. Used together, the two ingredients help to correct low iron and low folate levels in the body.

Used for

Everfos XT tablets are used for iron deficiency anaemia, folate deficiency anaemia, and in pregnancy to prevent and treat iron deficiency and to supply a maintenance amount of folic acid. Keep the pack out of the reach of children, since an accidental overdose of iron can be fatal; in case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or poison control centre immediately.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
