Description

Atovib 10 is a tablet made by Vibcare Pharma, containing Atorvastatin 10 mg as its active ingredient. Atorvastatin is a statin, a class of medicine that lowers cholesterol made by the body. Atovib 10 is packed as 10x15 (Alu Alu).

How it works

In the body, the medicine holds back HMG-CoA reductase, the liver enzyme involved in making cholesterol. This leads to less cholesterol being produced and more LDL being cleared from the blood, so LDL cholesterol levels come down as part of a cholesterol-lowering plan with diet.

Used for

Atovib 10 is used alongside diet to reduce LDL cholesterol in primary hyperlipidaemia and familial hypercholesterolaemia, and to lower the chances of heart attack, stroke and related heart problems in adults with coronary heart disease or its risk factors.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
