Cefermed 100 Dry Syrup (WFR) is a dry syrup made by Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division. Each formulation provides Cefixime 100mg as its active substance. It falls within the cephalosporin antibiotic and anti-infective class of medicines and is packed as 1's.
As a semisynthetic cephalosporin, the Cefixime in Cefermed 100 Dry Syrup (WFR) prevents bacteria from building their cell walls. Without a proper cell wall the bacteria cannot survive, so the organism causing the infection is removed from the body.
Doctors prescribe Cefermed 100 Dry Syrup (WFR) for susceptible bacterial infections including otitis media, pharyngitis and tonsillitis, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis and uncomplicated urinary tract infections in adults and children six months of age and older.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
