Read our full guide: Cefixime: uses, dose, side effects and brands
Each Jemcef DT 200 tablet carries Cefixime 200 mg and is prepared by Vibcare Pharma as a tablet for oral use. It falls in the antibiotic and anti-infective (antibacterial) class of medicines. The packing is 10x10 (Alu Alu), and the brand is marketed through Vibcare Pharma's Auspin division.
The active ingredient, cefixime, is a semisynthetic cephalosporin antibacterial. It works by stopping bacteria from forming their cell walls, which prevents them from growing and multiplying. This is how the tablet helps bring bacterial infections under control.
