About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Zardcef S 1.5GM Injection is an injection from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division. Every pack carries Ceftriaxone 1 gm and Sulbactam 500 mg, and it falls under the class Antibiotic and Anti-Infective (Antibacterial). It is packed as 1's.

How it works

Inside the body, Ceftriaxone works as a cephalosporin antibiotic. It prevents bacteria from building their cell wall, which stops them from growing and surviving. Sulbactam acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Some bacteria release enzymes that weaken antibiotics, and Sulbactam blocks those enzymes so that Ceftriaxone can keep working against such bacteria.
