PREDOLAM 8METHYLPREDNISOLONE 8mg. IP

Predolam 8 tablets contain Methylprednisolone 8 mg, a corticosteroid for inflammatory, allergic, skin and endocrine conditions. Main uses: adrenocortical insufficiency (primary or secondary) and congenital adrenal hyperplasia; nonsuppurative thyroiditis and hypercalcemia associated with cancer; short-term adjunctive therapy in rheumatic disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gouty arthritis, bursitis and tenosynovitis; collagen diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, dermatomyositis and acute rheumatic carditis; severe skin conditions such as pemphigus, severe psoriasis, exfoliative dermatitis and severe erythema multiforme.

Common side effects of Predolam 8 Tablet include fluid and sodium retention, with swelling; raised blood pressure and loss of potassium; muscle weakness and loss of muscle mass; headache, dizziness and vertigo; thin fragile skin, easy bruising and increased sweating; increased blood sugar and rise in appetite. Get medical help at once if you notice peptic ulcer with possible bleeding and perforation; increased pressure inside the skull with swelling of the optic nerve; convulsions.
