About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Tablets sold under the name Yetofol 200 contain the single active ingredient Ofloxacin 200 mg. The medicine falls in the fluoroquinolone group of antibiotics (antibacterial anti-infectives). Yetofol 200 is packed as 20x10 (Blister), and it is offered by Vibcare Pharma under its Auspin division.
The ingredient Ofloxacin acts by blocking the enzymes bacteria need to copy and repair their DNA, so the bacteria stop growing and the infection is brought under control. Ofloxacin 200 mg in each tablet is active against bacteria that are sensitive to it, and it has no effect on illnesses caused by viruses, such as flu or the common cold.
Yetofol 200 is used for mild to moderate infections in adults caused by susceptible bacteria, including acute bacterial flare-ups of long-term bronchitis where no other treatment option is available, community-acquired pneumonia, uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections and uncomplicated urinary tract infections. The medicine must be stopped right away and a doctor contacted immediately if tendon pain, nerve symptoms or changes in mood or sleep appear, and fluoroquinolones must be avoided after such a reaction.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
