About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Rosuvib 10 (15 Pack) comes as a tablet containing Rosuvastatin 10 mg. It falls in the class of HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, commonly known as statins, used in cardiovascular care to manage cholesterol levels. The product is packed as 10x15 (Alu Alu) and is supplied by Vibcare Pharma through its division for this brand.

How it works

Rosuvastatin works by blocking HMG-CoA reductase, the liver enzyme responsible for making cholesterol. With this enzyme slowed down, the liver produces less cholesterol and draws more LDL cholesterol out of the blood. The result is a fall in LDL cholesterol and triglycerides, which can also help slow the build-up of fatty deposits inside the arteries.

Used for

The tablets are used along with diet to lower LDL cholesterol in adults with primary hyperlipidemia, to slow the progression of atherosclerosis, to reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events in adults at increased risk, and in heterozygous and homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, primary dysbetalipoproteinemia and hypertriglyceridemia. Use only on a doctor's prescription.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
