Levovib 10 tablets from Vibcare Pharma contain Levocetirizine 10 mg, used to relieve itching and hives of chronic idiopathic urticaria. Main uses: treatment of the uncomplicated skin symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria (itching, hives) in adults and children 6 years of age and older; relief of the symptoms of allergic rhinitis such as sneezing, runny nose and watery eyes; reduction of allergic itching of the skin.

Common side effects of Levovib 10 Tablet include sleepiness or drowsiness; tiredness; dry mouth; nasopharyngitis (sore, irritated nose and throat); sore throat; fever in children. Get medical help at once if you notice urinary retention (difficulty in passing urine); severe allergic reactions including anaphylaxis in people who are hypersensitive to the medicine; new onset itching of the skin after stopping the medicine, usually after long-term use.

Each Levovib 10 tablet contains Levocetirizine 10 mg. The right dose and how long to take it depend on the condition, age and other medicines, so use Levovib 10 Tablet only as your doctor advises.

Levocetirizine is an antihistamine. During an allergic reaction the body releases histamine, which causes itching, redness, swelling, sneezing and a runny nose. Levocetirizine blocks histamine at the H1 receptors in the body, so these allergy symptoms settle down and the skin becomes calmer.

Must not be used by patients with a known allergy to levocetirizine, cetirizine or any ingredient of the tablet. Must not be used by patients with end-stage kidney disease (creatinine clearance below 10 mL/min) or by patients on haemodialysis. Must not be used by children 6 months to 11 years of age who have kidney impairment. Check with a doctor first if you have kidney impairment, a spinal cord lesion or prostate enlargement, or if you are elderly. The medicine may cause sleepiness: avoid driving, operating machinery and other hazardous activities that require full mental alertness, and avoid alcohol and other medicines that cause drowsiness.
