From Vibcare Pharma's Auspin division, Levoyet Tablet is a tablet form of the antihistamine Levocetirizine 5 mg. Each tablet provides this strength of the active ingredient and is packed as 10x10 (Blister). The product falls under the class of H1-receptor blocker, or anti-allergy antihistamine medicines.
The medicine works by blocking H1 histamine receptors selectively. Histamine is the substance the body releases during allergy, and when its receptors are blocked, symptoms such as sneezing, nasal discharge, itchy watery eyes and itchy raised skin lesions show less effect. Levocetirizine is the active form of cetirizine and acts through this single, well-known route.
Levoyet Tablet is used in the treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and of the uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children 6 years and older.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
