Description

Revmox CV 375 (10 Pack) is a tablet antibiotic from Vibcare Pharma, with Amoxycillin 250 mg and Clavulanic Acid 125 mg as its two ingredients. Its class is a penicillin antibacterial together with a beta-lactamase inhibitor, and it is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu). The item is part of Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division.

How it works

The tablet works through two complementary actions. Amoxycillin is the antibacterial agent; it interferes with bacterial cell wall formation so the bacteria cannot survive. Clavulanic Acid, the beta-lactamase inhibitor, blocks the enzyme some bacteria make to break down amoxycillin. Together they act against bacteria that carry this enzyme.

Used for

Use of this tablet covers susceptible bacterial infections such as lower respiratory tract infections, acute bacterial otitis media, sinusitis, skin and skin structure infections and urinary tract infections. Use is to be avoided in patients with mononucleosis.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.

Uses

  • Skin and skin structure infections caused by susceptible beta-lactamase-producing isolates of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Klebsiella species

Precautions

Do not use
