Description

Azivib 500 (3 Pack) is presented as tablets by Vibcare Pharma. Every tablet carries Azithromycin 500mg as the active ingredient. The medicine falls in the antibiotic and anti-infective class, more precisely the macrolide antibacterial group. It is packed as 10x3 (Blister) and is supplied from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division.

How it works

The ingredient, azithromycin, is a macrolide antibacterial. It acts by blocking the protein-making process in susceptible bacteria, which prevents them from multiplying and allows the body's own defences to clear the infection.

Used for

Azivib 500 (3 Pack) is used for mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible bacteria: community-acquired pneumonia in adults and patients 6 months of age and older, pharyngitis and tonsillitis in adults and patients 2 years of age and older, acute bacterial sinusitis in adults, acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis in adults, uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections in adults, urethritis and cervicitis in adults, and genital ulcer disease in men.
