Jemazi 500 (3 Pack) tablets provide Azithromycin 500mg for the treatment of mild to moderate bacterial infections. Main uses: mild to moderate community-acquired pneumonia in adults and in patients 6 months of age and older, caused by susceptible bacteria; pharyngitis and tonsillitis in adults and in patients 2 years of age and older, caused by susceptible bacteria; acute otitis media in patients 6 months of age and older, caused by susceptible bacteria; acute bacterial sinusitis in adults; acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic bronchitis in adults.

Common side effects of Jemazi 500 Tablet include diarrhoea; nausea; abdominal pain; vomiting; headache; altered taste. Get medical help at once if you notice severe liver injury, including cholestatic jaundice and hepatitis; serious allergic and skin reactions, including angioedema; prolongation of the QT interval, torsades de pointes and a potential increased short-term risk of acute cardiovascular death in adults.

Must not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to azithromycin, erythromycin, any macrolide or ketolide drug. Must not be used in patients with a history of cholestatic jaundice or liver dysfunction linked to earlier use of azithromycin. Check with a doctor first if there is a known QT prolongation, a history of torsades de pointes or any other heart rhythm problem, or if the patient is taking other medicines that prolong the QT interval.
