Description

Cefdojem 100 Dry Syrup (WFR) is a dry syrup made by Vibcare Pharma, with Cefpodoxime 100mg. The medicine falls in the cephalosporin class of antibiotics, under Antibiotic & Anti-Infective (Antibacterial), and is supplied as 30ml from Vibcare Pharma's Auspin division.

How it works

The ingredient Cefpodoxime interferes with the cell wall that bacteria need to hold their shape. When the wall cannot be completed, the bacteria break down and are removed, which brings the infection caused by sensitive organisms under control. Viral infections are not affected by this medicine.

Doctors prescribe Cefdojem 100 Dry Syrup (WFR) for mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including middle ear infection, pharyngitis and tonsillitis, community-acquired pneumonia and bacterial flare-ups of long-standing bronchitis.
