Cefponor 100 Dry Syrup (WFR) is a dry syrup from Vibcare Pharma that provides Cefpodoxime 100mg. Its class is cephalosporin antibiotic, under the Antibiotic & Anti-Infective (Antibacterial) group, and it is packed as 30ml from Vibcare Pharma's Medanor division.
The Cefpodoxime in this syrup prevents bacteria from completing their cell walls. Without a stable wall the bacterial cells collapse, which allows the infection caused by sensitive organisms to settle. Like other antibiotics, it has no effect on illnesses caused by viruses.
Cefponor 100 Dry Syrup (WFR) is given for mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including middle ear infection, pharyngitis and tonsillitis, community-acquired pneumonia and bacterial flare-ups of chronic bronchitis.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
