About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Made by Vibcare Pharma, Pantojem 40 comes as a delayed-release tablet containing Pantoprazole 40 mg. The medicine falls in the proton pump inhibitor class and is used as an anti-ulcerant in gastro care. It is packed as 10x15 (Alu Alu) and belongs to Vibcare Pharma's Auspin division.
Inside the body, pantoprazole binds to the proton pump found on the surface of the stomach's acid-secreting cells and stops the final stage of acid formation. Acid made at rest and after food or other stimulation both fall as a result, and this antisecretory action continues for more than 24 hours after a dose.
Doctors prescribe it for short-term treatment of erosive oesophagitis due to gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, for keeping that healing going and easing daytime and nighttime heartburn in adults, and for long-term management of pathological hypersecretory conditions such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.

Must not be used by patients with known allergy to pantoprazole, any component of the tablet, or any substituted benzimidazole. Must not be used by patients taking rilpivirine-containing products. Check with a doctor first if the medicine is needed for a long time, as low vitamin B12 levels, low magnesium and a higher chance of hip, wrist or spine fractures have been reported. Check with a doctor first if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Check with a doctor first if new or worsening symptoms appear, since relief of symptoms does not rule out a stomach malignancy and further follow-up and diagnostic testing may be needed.
