About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Panunor 40 Injection comes from Vibcare Pharma's Medanor division and provides Pantoprazole 40 mg in injectable form. It is a proton pump inhibitor, an anti-ulcerant in the gastro therapeutic group, and it is packed as 1's.

How it works

The ingredient works by binding to the (H+,K+)-ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of the stomach's parietal cells, so the last step of gastric acid production is stopped. Acid output falls both when the stomach is at rest and when acid release is stimulated, and the reduction in acid secretion can last longer than 24 hours. In this way the injection helps keep stomach acid under control while the related condition is being managed.

Used for

It is used in adults for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and a history of erosive esophagitis for up to 10 days, and for pathological hypersecretory conditions including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Given only by a doctor or nurse.
