About the product

By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references

Description

Made by Vibcare Pharma and supplied from its Auspin division, Pantojem Injection is a sterile injection form of the anti-ulcerant medicine Pantoprazole, 40 mg per unit. It is classed as a proton pump inhibitor within the gastro range and is packed as 1's.

How it works

Pantoprazole in this injection halts the final stage of gastric acid formation by attaching to the (H+,K+)-ATPase pump on the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells. Because this step is blocked, both basal and stimulated acid secretion is reduced whatever the trigger, and the acid-lowering effect continues beyond 24 hours. This controlled reduction of stomach acid is what supports its use in acid-related disorders.

Used for

Pantojem Injection is indicated in adults for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and a history of erosive esophagitis for up to 10 days, and of pathological hypersecretory conditions including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Given only by a doctor or nurse.
