RABEPRAZOLE 20mg. IP

An inhibitor of the gastric proton pump that reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Clinically effective in the treatment of acid-related diseases such as gastric, duodenal ulcer, and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease. (Dekkers, 2001) Achieves profound decreases in 24-h intragastric acidity. (M P Williams 1, 1999) A rapid inhibitor of acid than omeprazole, lansoprazole, or pantoprazole. (M P Williams 1, 1999) Has a significantly faster onset of antisecretory action than omeprazole 20 mg. (M P Williams, 1998) An advantageous alternative to omeprazole in the treatment of duodenal ulcer disease. (Fabio Pace, 2007) More effective than omeprazole and lansoprazole for the rapid relief of heartburn symptoms in patients with reflux esophagitis.
