Description

Moxivib CV Dry Syrup is a dry syrup (syrup) formulation made by Vibcare Pharma. It contains Amoxycillin 200 mg and Clavulanic Acid 28.5 mg. It belongs to the class of antibiotics that combine a penicillin-type antibacterial with a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This item is packed as 30ml and comes from Vibcare Pharma's Prima division.

How it works

Amoxycillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic that works by stopping susceptible bacteria from forming their cell walls, which kills the bacteria. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor; it blocks the enzymes that some bacteria produce to break down amoxycillin. Together, the two ingredients let amoxycillin act against bacteria that would otherwise resist it.

Used for

The syrup is used for susceptible bacterial infections such as lower respiratory tract infections, acute bacterial otitis media, sinusitis, skin and skin structure infections, and urinary tract infections caused by beta-lactamase-producing organisms. Use should be avoided in patients with mononucleosis.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
