Description

A dry syrup (syrup) presentation, Moxivib CV Dry Syrup WFR is supplied by Vibcare Pharma. Each unit provides Amoxycillin 200 mg and Clavulanic Acid 28.5 mg. The product falls in the class of penicillin-class antibacterial combined with a beta-lactamase inhibitor. It is packed as 30ml and is listed under Vibcare Pharma's Prima division.

How it works

In this combination, Amoxycillin acts on susceptible bacteria by blocking the formation of their cell walls. Clavulanic Acid guards the antibiotic by inhibiting the beta-lactamase enzymes that certain bacteria release to destroy it. This paired action is what gives the syrup its antibacterial activity against beta-lactamase-producing strains.

Used for

It is prescribed for conditions such as lower respiratory tract infections, acute bacterial otitis media, sinusitis, skin and skin structure infections and urinary tract infections caused by susceptible organisms. Use should be avoided in patients with mononucleosis.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
