Read our full guide: Montelukast and levocetirizine: uses, dose, side effects and brands
Everkast LC Syrup, an oral syrup from Vibcare Pharma, provides Levocetirizine 2.5 mg and Montelukast 4 mg as its active ingredients. Classified as an anti-allergic and anti-histamine medicine, it is packed as 60ml and is offered by Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division.
How the syrup works is simple: Levocetirizine blocks histamine at H1 receptors and helps control sneezing, a runny nose, itching and watery eyes, while Montelukast blocks cysteinyl leukotrienes, the chemicals that swell and tighten the airways and nasal passages. Acting on two different steps, the ingredients together support relief from allergic symptoms.
Doctors use Everkast LC Syrup for seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis symptoms, for itching and hives in chronic idiopathic urticaria, and for long-term management of asthma in young children. Report any such mood or behaviour change to the doctor at once. It does not treat a sudden asthma attack.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
