Description

Everkast LC (10 Pack) comes from Vibcare Pharma as a tablet. Montelukast Sodium 10 mg and Levocetirizine 5 mg are the two ingredients in each tablet. It falls in the anti-allergic and anti-histamine class. The pack size is packed as 10x10 (Alu Alu) and the product comes from Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division.

How it works

How the tablet works is through its two ingredients. Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that blocks H1 receptors, which helps with itching, hives, sneezing and a runny or watery nose. Montelukast Sodium is a leukotriene receptor antagonist; by blocking leukotrienes released during an allergic reaction, it helps reduce airway swelling, mucus production and tightening of the air passages.

Used for

Doctors use these tablets for prophylaxis and long-term treatment of asthma symptoms and for prevention of breathing difficulty brought on by exercise. Serious neuropsychiatric events, including agitation, depression, sleep disturbances and suicidal thoughts or behaviour, have been reported with montelukast; any change in mood or behaviour must be reported to the doctor.

Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
