Mefojem P Suspension is a pain and fever relief suspension containing Mefenamic Acid 50 mg with Paracetamol 125 mg. Main uses: relief of mild to moderate pain; reduction of fever; treatment of primary dysmenorrhea (period pain); relief of short-term pain from muscle aches, headache, toothache, backache and the common cold.

Common side effects of Mefojem P Suspension include nausea or vomiting; abdominal pain; diarrhoea or constipation; indigestion, heartburn or gas; headache or dizziness; skin rash or itching. Get medical help at once if you notice increased risk of heart attack or stroke, which can be fatal, mainly with higher doses or longer use; bleeding, ulceration or perforation of the stomach or intestines, which can be fatal; severe skin reactions with blisters or reddening of the skin, and serious allergic reactions including difficulty in breathing.

Mefojem P Suspension contains Mefenamic Acid 50 mg + Paracetamol 125 mg. The right dose and how long to take it depend on the condition, age and other medicines, so use Mefojem P Suspension only as your doctor advises.

In this medicine, Mefenamic Acid reduces the production of prostaglandins in the body's tissues, and this brings down pain and swelling signals. Paracetamol works through the brain to lower raised body temperature and to dull pain. The two ingredients therefore act in different ways to cover both pain and fever.

Must not be used by anyone allergic to mefenamic acid, paracetamol or any ingredient of the product. Must not be used by patients who have asthma, urticaria or allergic reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs. Must not be used around coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. Must not be used together with any other product that contains paracetamol without asking a doctor or pharmacist. Check with a doctor first if there is liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease, high blood pressure, stomach ulcer, asthma, if warfarin is being taken, or if the patient is pregnant or breastfeeding. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration as advised by the doctor, because NSAIDs raise the risk of heart attack, stroke and stomach bleeding.
