About the product
By Vibcare Pharma · Updated 9 October 2026 · Based on product labels and standard drug references
Mefolam P DS Suspension is a syrup from Vibcare Pharma's Evermed division. It brings together Mefenamic Acid 100 mg and Paracetamol 250 mg, and belongs to the analgesic and anti-inflammatory (NSAID) class of medicines. The pack is packed as 60ml.
Inside this syrup, Mefenamic Acid works by reducing prostaglandins in the body, which brings down pain and swelling. Paracetamol acts on the pain and temperature centres to ease aches and lower fever. The two ingredients work in different ways to give relief from pain and fever in a single syrup.
Mefolam P DS Suspension is used for relief of mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, body aches, muscular and joint pain, and menstrual cramps, and for temporary reduction of fever. NSAIDs like mefenamic acid carry a risk of heart attack or stroke, and of serious bleeding, ulceration or perforation of the stomach or intestines, which can occur without warning. From 20 weeks of pregnancy it must generally be avoided, and from 30 weeks it must be avoided; if use is being considered, the patient must be under a doctor's care.
Use only on a doctor's prescription, at the dose and for the duration advised.
